So you’ve won a prize with McDonalds Monopoly – congratulations!
In this guide, I’ll explain exactly what you need to do to claim your prize, whether that’s at the McDonalds counter, drive-thru, self-service machine, on the app, for delivery or by entering a code online.
How to claim Monopoly prizes at McDonalds:
- Instant Win food prizes can be claimed in-store or via the app
- Non-food instant win prizes can be claimed via the app
- Collect-to-win prizes must be claimed via the app
The most important things to know are that your winning game pieces must be kept safe (even after you’ve entered them into the app) and that you must not reveal your codes to anyone else.
How to Redeem Instant Win Prizes
Food Prizes
If your winning McDonalds Monopoly piece says Instant Win and entitles you to free food, you can claim it at any participating McDonalds restaurant in the UK. Here’s how:
- At the counter – Hand your winning piece to a staff member
- At the drive-thru – Hand your winning piece to a staff member
- At a self-service kiosk – Enter the code from your winning piece
- Via the McDonalds app – Scan or enter the code from your winning piece
If you order at the counter or drive-thru window, you should tell the crew member about your winning Monopoly game piece before you place your order.
If you order at the self-service kiosk, you should follow the on-screen instructions to scan the QR code or type it in.
If you redeem your food prize via the McDonalds app, you can request delivery if the restaurant is within range. You cannot, however, use McDonalds Monopoly pieces when ordering via UberEats or Just Eat.
To add your food prize to the app, don’t scan it in the McDonalds Monopoly section. Instead, you’ll want to tap on ‘More’ and then ‘Scan vouchers’
Non-Food Prizes
For Instant Win non-food prizes, you can claim your prize via MyMcDonalds app. Depending on the prize, there may be some extra terms and conditions about when you need to claim the prize by, or what else you need to do to claim it.
Discount Prizes
Some of the McDonalds Monopoly Instant Win prizes are discount vouchers.
To redeem your discount, simply go to the website stated on the game piece, select the items you wish to purchase and proceed to the checkout. You can then type in the prize code from your winning game piece and your discount will be applied.
You can also win discounts on McDonalds food. These prizes will be automatically added to your MyMcDonalds app when you scan the Monopoly tickets so you can redeem them there.

How to Redeem Collect To Win Prizes
To claim McDonalds Monopoly Collect To Win prizes, you must first collect a full colour set. On each piece, it will tell you which other pieces you need to complete a set.
Food Prizes
If you collect both of the Brown pieces – Old Kent Road and Whitechapel Road, you will win a ‘Selected Meal’.
The ‘Selected Meal’ in Mcdonalds Monopoly is an Extra Value Meal or a Big Flavour Wrap Meal.
You have a choice of:
- Big Flavour Wrap ( The Spicy Veggie One, The Sweet Chilli Chicken One, The Garlic Mayo Chicken One or The BBQ and Bacon Chicken One), Big Mac, Quarter Pounder with Cheese, 6 Chicken McNuggets, McChicken Sandwich, Filet-O-Fish, 3 Piece Chicken Selects, 5 Piece Chicken Selects, Vegetable Deluxe, McCrispy, McSpicy, or McPlant.
- Medium Fries, Side Salad, Fruit Bag or Veg Bag
- Medium carbonated soft drink, hot drink or drink served in a bottle or carton
Here’s how to claim your ‘Selected Meal’ prize:
- At the counter – Hand your winning pieces to a staff member
- At the drive-thru – Hand your winning pieces to a staff member
- At a self-service kiosk – Enter the codes from your winning pieces
- Via the McDonalds app – Enter the codes from your winning pieces
You cannot upgrade your free meal from medium to large, even if you offer to pay the difference. If you select Coca-Cola Classic, you’ll have to pay an additional charge for the Government’s Soft Drinks Industry Levy (sugar tax).
Non-Food Prizes
Once you have collected a full set in your Monopoly Wallet in the My McDonalds app, you should start follow the instructions in the app about how to claim your prize. In 2023, you needed to complete the online form by 14th November.
You will need to enter the code from the winning piece along with personal details such as your name, date of birth, email address, postal address and telephone number.
After you have submitted your claim, you may be contacted by the promoter with instructions to continue your claim. You may be sent paper forms to fill in and return in a pre-paid reply envelope. Do not send the winning game pieces in the envelope.
Once your prize claim has been verified, you will be sent details on how to get the prize. These vary depending on what the prize is.
How to Redeem Digital Peel Prizes
You can win prizes online by entering your game codes into the My McDonalds app. Each sticker has a chance to win and online prizes are given to two people every minute.
If you win a cash prize online, you’ll be presented with an online claim form where you can enter your details. You can choose to have a bank transfer or to receive a prepaid card in the post.
If you win a different type of prize aside from cash in the McDonalds Monopoly online game, just fill in the claim form online. You’ll then receive an email with a voucher that you can use to redeem your prize.
If you win a McDonalds food prize online, your prize voucher will be sent to your McDonalds Wallet on the McDonalds app. If you don’t yet have the app, you’ll need to download it. You’ll need to order your food using the app to redeem your prize.
McDonalds Monopoly Prize Claim FAQs
You cannot use winning McDonalds Monopoly game pieces to pay for food ordered on UberEats. However, you can use them to get food delivered via the McDonalds app.
You cannot use winning McDonalds Monopoly game pieces to pay for food ordered via Just Eat. However, you can use them to get food delivered via the McDonalds app.
You can use winning McDonalds Monopoly stickers to pay for food at the McDonalds Drive Thru just as you can at the counter inside the restaurant. Tell the server that you would like to use McDonalds Monopoly pieces before you place your order.
According to the terms and conditions for McDonalds Monopoly, only one food voucher prize may be redeemed per transaction, unless the restaurant opts to increase this limit.
So, if you want to claim two prizes, you might need to put it through as two separate transactions, unless the staff are willing to allow you to claim two prizes at once.
